We set out early in the morning with 500 kilometers ahead of us and with great anticipation. We had received an invitation to participate in the annual day of prayer in Germany, commemorating the country’s unification. During the course of the day, the trumpets would be blown.
Our goal was the family community Siloah in Neufrankenroda, which lies almost exactly in the geographic center of Germany.
The meeting was held in a lovingly decorated barn. We were drawn right in to a great worship time. Following the meeting we had a wonderful meal which included local specialities.
The afternoon was devoted wholly to prayer. We prayed for various subjects, including Israel. The concluding worship service took place outdoors, in beautiful autumn weather, beneath a gigantic cross on an open field. Werner had the opportunity to speak about the trumpets and then blew them, together with Jörn, the leader of the Siloah community’s agriculture. We concluded with the Lord’s supper which touched me in a special way as I looked at this cross rising up to the sky.
With a grateful heart I look back on this day. How great is God and how unfathomable HIS love with which HE draws us to HIS heart!!!
